The Nokē™ Smart Entry system is a cloud-based digital key and business management solution, designed specifically for the self-storage industry, that allows tenants entry to our facility and its units using a smart phone. Nokē Smart Entry system has truly changed self-storage access. Our Smart Entry is a Bluetooth electronic lock and total access control system that allows you to easily access our self-storage facility and your unit from your smart device. You can say goodbye to the frustration and inefficient time of losing keys or not being able to remember gate codes.

With advanced technology inside every unit controller, electronic locks and motion sensors inside very door, this security solution makes access easier. The Nokē Smart Entry system is digital key sharing, where you can go into the app on your phone and grant temporary unit access to a friend, family member, work colleague or anyone who needs to retrieve an item from your storage unit. An activity log keeps track of all activity and exactly when the unit was accessed.

What Kind Of Security Is At Boxed Self Storage?

We take the security of your goods and possessions extremely seriously. To protect them we have:

Access to our storage centres is strictly controlled. Also, you are the only one with access to your room.

How Much Does It Cost To Store At Boxed Self Storage?

The price you pay is determined by the size of the room you need. That’s why our commitment to you is that we will get you into the smallest space possible. As the rental charge is calculated according to the floor area of the storage room, the smaller the floor area, the less you end up paying.

What Is The Minimum Rental Period?

There is no long-term contracts. You can store for as long as you want, there is no maximum rental period.

Do You Offer Any Discounts?

We offer a 50% Discount* off your first 4 weeks storage cost. *Subject to staying for 3 months. For customers choosing to pay for 12 months storage in advance, we offer a 10% Discount.

How Long Can I Stay?

You are welcome to stay as long as you require, from just one week upwards.

How Quickly Can I Move In?

You can move in on the same day as you make your enquiry (during office opening hours) providing that you have the relevant documentation needed to complete and sign your contract. Two forms of ID are required one of which must be a photo ID (passport or driving licence), and a utility bill less than 3 months old.

Do I Need Insurance?

Your goods must be insured whilst in storage. Boxed Self Storage offers insurance protection under our own insurance policy.

We always take good care of our facility and make every effort to protect items being stored with us. Unfortunately, there are some events which may damage your goods which are out of our control, such as a fire or flood. It is therefore standard practice for self-storage companies to require their customers to adequately insure their goods for the duration of their stay. We ask all our customers to place a value on the goods they are storing? How much would it cost to replace everything? This means the cost to replace your items with a new equivalent, not the price you paid when you purchased each item.

How Do I Get My Goods To You?

You have to bring your belongings to the storage facility. We have a van you are more than welcome to use, Free of Charge, to move in. Alternatively, we are happy to recommend a local removal company to help with your transportation.

Do You Have Trollies and Forklifts Available?

We have trolleys and pallet trucks available free of charge for customers use. We also have forklifts available, which can be operated on your behalf by one of our trained staff.

Do You Offer Storage For Business?

Yes, we offer flexible contracts for short or long term Self Storage. There is no minimum stay. We guarantee our business customers the best business rates available. Please contact the storage centre for details.

Do You Accept Deliveries?

Yes, we accept deliveries. We are happy to accept any deliveries for personal and business customers during our office hours.

Do You Sell Packing Supplies?

We sell a large range of packing supplies including various sized boxes, rolls of tape, mattress/sofa covers, bubble wrap and markers. We have various moving pack deals available offering a 25% saving on buying the products individually. See website for details

What Items Cannot Be Stored?

You must not store (and you must not allow any other person to store) any of the following in your Storeroom: –

  • food or perishable goods;
  • birds, fish, animals or any other living creatures; including plants
  • combustible or flammable materials or liquids such as gas, paint, petrol, oil or cleaning solvents;
  • firearms, explosives, weapons or ammunition;
  • chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents;
  • toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a potentially dangerous nature;
  • any item which emits any fumes, smell or odour;
  • any illegal substances, illegal items or goods illegally obtained, including counterfeit goods, illicit (smuggled/counterfeit) tobacco, illicit alcohol, unlicensed medicines, unsafe goods (including toys, electrical items, cosmetics, fireworks);
  • compressed gases.
